Café Music – an evening with Thrive City

Come and Hear our Faculty from the Thrive City String BootCamp and Delta Community Music School in performance to raise funds for the Thrive City String Boot Camp.  Help us raise funds to send kids to summer camp.

Featuring a Special performance of the Weber Quintet for Clarinet and Strings and Oblivion by Piazzolla 

Also featuring a performance by our Camp Assistants Samantha Kung, Sejal Lal, Jeffrey Yamasaki and past camp participants Claire Kylheku, Phoebe Littlejohn, Jasper Littlejohn, Yuzuh Bishop, Makoto Devolin, and Kai Devolin

Parade of Music featuring Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra

Come and hear our music school voice students performing with the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra in a program from the Broadway Stage featuring the music of Lenorard Bernstein and West Side Story.

TIckets: $25 at the door. Proceeds go towards Rotary Charitable projects.

Haunted House Closure

A reminder that the Delta Community Music School is closed from Monday, Oct. 22 through Sunday, Oct. 28 for the Annual Haunted House Event (operated by Delta Parks, Recreation, and Culture).

There are no lessons at the school during this time as the building is closed. The School will reopen Monday October 29th.

Welcome Back!

Lessons at DCMS will be resuming on Tuesday for most of our private teachers. Some teachers still have a few openings for fall lessons, so it is best to check with Marilyn in the office to see what is available. 

Jazz Ensembles start Tuesday, September 11.  I have had a couple of inquiries as to what other group classes or ensemble programs we offer. If anyone has suggestions for what other programs they would like to see the school offer, drop me a line. 

We completed two very successful summer programs with our South Delta Jazz Festival Student workshop in July, and our two string camps – Thrive City Junior Boot Camp held at the school during the last week of July, , and the 10-day overnight Thrive City Camp held at Camp Luther (Hatzic Lake) in August.  Thanks to all of our instructors, especially John and Brad for making these camps successful!
