The DCMS offers private one-on-one lessons in all band, orchestral instruments, voice, guitar, and piano. All age levels and ranges of ability – ages 5 – 85! Yes, an increasing number of adult students are taking lessons at the school in all instruments.

African Hand Drumming
Learn to play the West African Djembe and discover the thrill of hand drumming. You’ll improve your skill of listening and co-ordination while having fun. Playing in a group builds strong friendships and a sense of community. Fall term starts Sept. 19th !
Jazz Ensemble
The Jazz Ensemble is a regular ensemble that meets Tuesday Evenings. Learn and improve you jazz improvisation skills in a small jazz combo setting..We play a variety of jazz standards and original tunes and arrangements, some by our own ensemble members.
Thrive City String Camp
String Boot Camp is an intensive 2-week retreat for serious intermediate to advanced string players (violin, viola, cello) aimed at improving technique and building a strong foundation.
Triple Threat Theater Class
Students will sing, dance and act their hearts out in this one hour musical theatre intensive class. The class will give students a taste of the three disciplines that make musical theatre so magical, as well as perform a final showcase of their work.
