elcome to the Delta Community Music School. Our mission is to bring the best musicians and teachers of the Lower Mainland to Delta. Our school serves the needs of Ladner, Tsawwassen, North Delta, and other communities in the Lower Mainland. We offer private music lessons in clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, choir, band, jazz ensemble, Music Theory and History.
We have over 15 teachers on faculty, all highly qualified professional musicians from the Vancouver area.
We offer a variety of programs to the community ranging from private lessons in piano, guitar and most orchestral instruments, to group lessons and outreach elementary school band programs in Delta and Surrey. Our summer programs include the South Delta Jazz Festival and Thrive City String Boot Camp which is held each July.

The DCMS offers private one-on-one lessons in all band, orchestral instruments, voice, guitar, and piano. All age levels and ranges of ability – ages 5 – 85! Yes, an increasing number of adult students are taking lessons at the school in all instruments.

Our 9th annual summer workshop is coming up July 3- 7, 2012. Open to students from ages 12 years to Adult. Open to all instruments including voice. Explore the world of Jazz by playing in small combo groups and learn to improvise!.
Our program for Tots is centred around the Colourstings philosophy. Colourstrings is a music education system developed by Geza Silvay in Finland, where it has become a core part of their state education. It is a highly respected method of teaching. Term 3 starts April 2 Register Today! .
The Suzuki method, also called the “mother-tongue” method, emphasizes learning by ear, so students really hear what they are doing! These classes require the active participation of a parent/guardian in order to help with practicing at home

Students will sing, dance and act their hearts out in this one hour musical theatre intensive class. The class will give students a taste of the three disciplines that make musical theatre so magical, as well as perform a final showcase of their work. Term 3 starts April 16. Register Now!
